Shen’s work uses printmaking as installation to engage with ideas of impermanence. She is interested in perceptions of movement and exploring the invisible forces at work and the flow of energy in the natural world. By using the gallery space to create different configurations of her printed works she creates a sense of motion through stillness. She says she wants to create a visual sensory experience as a window into invisible rhythms and “to question the notion of the world, of being and of becoming."
