Created specifically for 2016 Print Awards this project is a collective action between people in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Each one of the participants has elaborated upon a graphic image based on a diagram sent to them from the artist via e-mail. All the designs were screenprinted at Northern Print in three versions (white background, blue background and black background). These screenprints were then displayed as large panels around the city. This project explores the opposition between ideas of individual/collective; theme/variation; invention/repetition; purpose/random and tradition/innovation.
